Underwriting Support Specialist Michigan Farm Bureau - 3.4 Lansing, MI Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications High school diploma or GED Risk assessment Full Job Description Underwriting Support Specialist To assist in the evaluation of clients eligibility for insurance. To retain knowledge of acceptance and rejection rules and guidelines, pricing, classification, and hazard recognition. To provide service to policyholders, Farm Bureau Insurance agents and their staff. To assist with day-to-day activities by processing routine underwriting transactions. To compile and maintain information necessary for various underwriting actions or decisions. To review and manage claim memos, activities, and reports to assist in the underwriting review process. Acquire and maintain product and technical knowledge with regard to coverage forms and endorsements for risk evaluation. Review documentation and request documentation when necessary. Analyze and complete activities within authority limit. Identify risks requiring underwriter evaluation and approval, and assign such risks based on guidelines, procedures and service standards. Required High school diploma or equivalent required. AINS, API or AU designation required, or must be completed within two years of hire. Preferred Associate's degree preferred. Minimum two years' experience in insurance environment preferred. Insurance rating experience preferred.
Note:
This is a Hybrid position, working both remotely from the State of Michigan and in the Farm Bureau Home Office located in Lansing, Michigan. (Four days Remote, One day Onsite in the FB Home Office, but could be Onsite more days during the week based on trainings and other meetings) Farm Bureau offers a full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
