Financial Advocate

The Financial Advocate is directly responsible and accountable to the Patient Account Manager. The purpose of the Financial Advocate is to secure reimbursement for services rendered to uninsured and/or underinsured patients by assisting individuals in accessing and/or applying for Medicaid or other Federal or State assistance programs.

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

Associate Degree preferred or minimum of 3 years experience Successful completion of Presumptive Eligibility training course within 90 days Must obtain Certified Application Counselor certification within one year Prior experience processing HCAP/Charity applications preferred At least one year experience in healthcare billing
