Provides leadership and subject matter expertise in the financial aid department to ensure accuracy and compliance in the marketing, processing, and awarding of student financial aid. The salary range for this position is $20.69 to $31.04 per hour.Benefits:

Performance Measurements:
Demonstrates the Viking Values of balance, clarity, gratitude, service, teamwork, and trust. Serves as a role model and subject matter expert in the Office of Financial Aid. Provides friendly, courteous, and professional service to students, parents, staff, and community members. Works with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy; strives for zero errors in the awarding of financial aid. Maintains a current knowledge of federal, state, and institutional packaging policies and procedures that pertain to financial assistance. Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to federal and state financial aid; adheres to institutional policies and procedures for processing financial aid. Maintains the confidentiality of student information and other private records. Works independently to handle multiple assignments and projects with limited supervision. Two years to five years of similar or related experience.Education:
(1) A Bachelor's Degree or (2) equivalent experience or (3) previous experience as a Financial Aid Advisor.Interpersonal Skills:
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for the purpose of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.Other Skills:
This position requires analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving. Strong interpersonal, customer service, communication, and presentation skills are also required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new applications as needed to complete work assignments.Physical Requirements:
The work is typically sedentary. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to do the workWork Environment:
Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office. This position submission of three professional references.
