Job Description

Financial Analyst Peoples Bank United States, North Carolina, ton 518 West C Street (Show on map) May 14, 2026 Description Position Summary The Financial Support Analyst provides support across key Finance Department functions, with a primary focus on accounts payable, along with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role partners with other members of the Finance Department to ensure the accurate and timely execution of Finance Department duties and assists in maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory guidance with an emphasis on strong internal controls. Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Preferred Education:
Two to three years of related accounting experience preferred CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus Preferred Experience Strong knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger operations, and account reconciliation practices Experience in a bank, credit union, or other financial services organization Familiarity with regulatory reporting concepts is a plus Familiarity with accounting systems, a general ledger and/or core banking platform, and reconciliation tools preferred. Required Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting matters to non-accounting stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines in a close calendar environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to research variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data validation) to analyze large datasets Ability to perform reconciliations and build repeatable reporting and close schedules. Experience leveraging Microsoft Copilot (and other institution-approved AI features) to summarize, analyze, and draft documentation more efficiently while protecting confidential customer and institution data and complying with information security requirements.
