Job Description
Financial Analyst, Sr.
StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Full-Time, Financial Analyst, Senior to join our team in supporting the NAVAIR program office in Patuxent River, MD. The Financial Analyst, Senior will provide expert financial management support for Navy programs, with a focus on the execution and oversight of RDT&E appropriated funds and CAP-PA cooperative funds with Australia. The analyst will be responsible for executing financial documents in Navy ERP, managing and executing spend plans in CSPT, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Execution & Oversight. Execute, track, and reconcile financial transactions and documents in Navy ERP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Department of the Navy policies. Manage and execute spend plans using the Command Spend Plan Tool (CSPT), including the development, monitoring, and reporting of financial data. Oversee the management and execution of RDT&E appropriated funds, ensuring alignment with program objectives and compliance with fiscal law. Administer and track CAP-PA cooperative funds with Australia, ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and international compliance. Budget Formulation & Analysis. Develop, analyze, and maintain spend plans, forecasts, and financial reports to support program managers and leadership decision-making. Team Collaboration. Work collaboratively with appropriation BFM, program managers, technical leads, and other financial analysts to support program objectives and resolve financial issues. Participate in cross-functional teams, contributing financial expertise in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Compliance & Reporting Ensure all financial activities comply with applicable regulations, policies, and international agreements.Travel Requirements:
N/ARequired Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the Department of Defense or Navy programs. Demonstrated experience executing financial documents in Navy ERP. Proven ability to manage and execute spend plans in CSPT. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively on a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Knowledge of DoD financial regulations and fiscal law is highly desirable.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing RDT&E appropriated funds and CAP-PA cooperative funds (or similar international cooperative funding). Experience working with Australian defense programs or international cooperative agreements. Prior experience supporting Navy acquisition or research and development programs.Education:
MA/MS Degree. Allowable Substitutions for a Master's Degree Bachelors Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience, beyond the required experience outlined for the particular labor category, performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Masters Degree.OR:
Associate Degree plus four (4) years additional work experience, beyond the required experience outlined for the particular labor category, performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Masters Degree.OR:
Six (6) years additional work experience, beyond the required experience outlined for the particular labor category, performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Masters Degree.Security Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required. Minimum Secret clearance required OR must be eligible to apply and be granted interim DoD interim clearance prior to employment.About StraCon:

The estimated base salary range for this position is between $109,000.00 - $132,000.00. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates level of knowledge, education, experience and skill sets.
