As we continue to grow and improve our operational systems, we are seeking a hands-on Controller / Head of Accounting to lead the company's accounting and financial operations. Position Overview The Controller / Head of Accounting will oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial functions of the business while providing ownership with accurate financial reporting, job costing visibility, and cash flow management. This role is ideal for an experienced construction accounting professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and understands the unique financial operations of commercial subcontracting. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting operations including: Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll Bank reconciliations Month-end close Maintain and monitor: Job costing Work-in-progress (WIP) schedules Percentage-of-completion reporting Process and oversee: Union payroll Certified payroll Fringe benefit reporting

Prepare:

Monthly financial statements Cash flow reports and forecasts Internal financial reporting for ownership Oversee construction billing processes including: AIA billing Time & Material billing Change orders Collections Coordinate with: External CPA Bonding/surety partners Banking relationships Maintain internal controls, budgets, and financial organization Support estimating and operations teams with accurate cost reporting and financial data

Qualifications Required:

3-7+ years of construction accounting experience Strong understanding of: Job costing WIP reporting Percentage-of-completion accounting Experience with: Union payroll Certified payroll Prior experience as: Controller Senior Accountant Accounting Manager Similar construction accounting role Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with construction accounting software such as: Sage Foundation Jonas Viewpoint or similar systems

Preferred:
