JOB SUMMARY
Provides a welcoming first impression for members and guests. Serves as a liaison between the member and credit union personnel. Greets and directs members to the appropriate personnel while maintaining an organized and efficient lobby. A Member Service Representative must be adaptable, tech savvy and have a growth mindset, in addition to being member-fixated, be a positive, infectious contact between the public and the credit union.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Oversees the lobby area, gives pleasant engaging greeting to members, and other visitors, as they enter and leave the credit union. 2. Prescreens all visitors requesting service to determine the purpose of the visit so that requests may be handled in the most efficient and effective manner possible. 3. Engages every member at ETM. 4. Directs/announces them to the appropriate individuals, as necessary. 5. Must be tech savvy. Take an active role in educating members on other banking channels as well as other products and services. 6. Keeps lobby and Smart Offices stocked with brochures, paper, pens, restock candy dishes. 7. Keeps lobby, ETM and Coin machines clean. 8. Provides informed answers to members' questions on credit union products and services. 9. Perform transactions that can be handled in the lobby at the MSR desk, such as, • Disputes, Research, Balance Inquiry, Transfers, Cashier Checks, Account Alerts, Travel Notices, Add deposit products/beneficiary, Fee Refunds, Cross Accounts, Encore Advances, Change of Address, Stop Payments, ID scanning, Debit/Visa printing, pinning, Statements, PII updates, Check Orders, etc. 10. Understands ETM functions and advocates its use. 11. Provides Notary services. 12. Will be readily available to assist Member Service Center with members who are in the Smart Offices. 13. Monitors wait and response time and provides feedback to management. 14. Complete branch opening and closing procedures. 15. Opening procedures, such as, • GL Balancing Coin Machine, Skimmer log, Testing SO, Opening Vault, Setting up Card at Once, etc. 16. Closing procedures, such as, • EOD, Check Balancing, Coin slips, Skimmer log, Locking vault, Securing keys, Securing card at once, etc. 17. Performs other duties as assigned. 18.
Community involvement:
• Paid Volunteer Hours- Each eligible employee is required to have 3 hours within the current Annual Performance Review cycle. These can either be 3 concurrent hours or nonconcurrent. • Unpaid Volunteer Hours- As a qualifier for the balance scorecard profit-sharing plan employees will need to complete 3 volunteer hours unpaid per year for the balance scorecard.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. One month to twelve months of similar related experience. 3. Successful completion of in-house training program. 4. Thorough knowledge of Tidemark FCU products and service. Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities 1. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. 2. Pleasant outgoing personality which gives a positive image of the credit union to members and prospects. 3. Good verbal, written, and telephone communication skills. 4. Professionalism in dealing with members, managers and co-workers. Ability to maintain composure under pressure. 5. Standing on feet for the majority of the 8-hour day. Physical Demands 1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Other Qualifications 1. Satisfactory background and credit check, pre-hire. 2. Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization.
