Job Title:
Finisher / Machine Operator Job Description This role combines machine operation and finishing work in a manufacturing environment that produces plastic coolers, tanks, and related components. You will operate production machinery, handle raw materials, and use hand and power tools to clean, assemble, and prepare finished products for shipment. The position involves heavy lifting, working around heat-generating equipment, and supporting production needs across different shifts, including some Saturday overtime during peak seasons.

Overtime is available, especially on Saturdays, allowing you to increase your income when desired. Work Environment The facility manufactures plastic coolers, tanks, and other plastic parts using 11 rotational molding machines arranged throughout the plant. These machines function like large ovens that bake and harden plastic, creating a consistently hot work environment. Team members work on a production floor that involves standing for long periods, lifting materials, and using basic hand and power tools for assembly and finishing tasks. Candidates will be trained to operate machinery over time and will initially support tasks such as weighing products and assembling components. The operation runs across three shifts: 1st shift from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., 2nd shift from 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., and 3rd shift from 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime is available on Saturdays, particularly during peak production periods. The environment is industrial and fast-paced, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and flexibility to help where needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
