Responsibilities:
Preventative Maintenance:
Performing routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, brake inspections, and other scheduled services.
Diagnostics and Repair:
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repairing or replacing faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and other components.
Inspections:
Conducting regular safety inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving complex mechanical and electrical problems.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and vehicle history.
Safety Compliance:
Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintaining and repairing other equipment as needed, such as trailers, mowers, or other specialized tools depending on the industry.
Continuous Improvement:
Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and repair techniques through training and professional development.
Skills and Qualifications:
Mechanical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
Diagnostic Skills:
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
Repair Skills:
Proficiency in performing a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment, including scan tools, multimeters, and other specialized equipment.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently. Attention to
Detail:
Meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy parts, working in awkward positions, and standing for extended periods.
Communication Skills:
Effective communication skills to interact with other team members and explain technical issues clearly.
Valid Driver's License:
May require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) depending on the types of vehicles in the fleet.
Experience:
Prior experience as a fleet mechanic or in a related field is typically required.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications, such as ASE certifications, can be beneficial.
Working Conditions:
Fleet mechanics typically work in garages or maintenance shops, which can be noisy and sometimes require working with grease, oil, and other chemicals. They may also need to work outdoors in various weather conditions. The job may sometimes require working overtime or on weekends to handle emergency repairs.

We offer competitive wages starting at $26-$28 per hour which will be determined on your experience.
