Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and inspection of a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles, including trucks, vans, and specialized equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
- Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to schedule preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in vehicle technology.
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies as needed.
- Respond to roadside breakdowns and emergencies as required.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in automotive technology preferred.
- Proven experience as a fleet mechanic or in a similar role.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing a variety of mechanical issues.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and engine components.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. State inspection license is a plus, or ability to obtain one.
- Must have your own basic tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
