We're expanding our team for Zoe, our happy 19-year-old daughter with level 3 autism and tetrasomy 18p. She's nonverbal but communicates through smiles and gestures, still in diapers (no medications), and loves music, swimming at the YMCA (1-2 times weekly), physical training sessions (you'll help keep her on task and motivated), choir at Troubadour's Music School in Appleton, and being around people

Current Setup & Your Role:
We have a daytime nanny (8 a.m
  • 3 p.m. Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri; 9 a.m
  • 3 p.m. Sat) and evening caregivers (10 p.m
  • 6 a.m. daily). As a fill-in, you'd cover shifts when regulars are unavailable
  • especially evenings (10 p.m
  • 6 a.
m.), acting like an overnight babysitter: ensure she's comfortable, handle diaper changes if needed, monitor her sleep, and keep things calm and routine. Daytime fill-ins could include home activities like PT support, crafts, light laundry, meal/snack prep for Zoe, or outings to the music school.
On-call basis:
10-20 hours/month to start, with potential for more. We're flexible

Travel Component:
Occasionally join us on family vacations (7-10 days each, 2-3 times/year) to provide dedicated support for Zoe, sharing duties with family so everyone can relax. You'll have your own private hotel room, with all expenses paid (including flights, meals, and lodging), plus your regular pay during the trip.
Examples of past trips:
Redondo Beach and Long Beach, CA; London, England. Perfect for someone adventurous who enjoys blending caregiving with travel
  • must have a valid passport and flexibility for international spots.
Requirements:
Experience with high-needs autism or similar (ABA background a plus), positive and attentive, clean driving record (for any local outings). No heavy lifting required
  • Zoe is independent in mobility.
Pay:
$22
  • 25/hour, fully IRIS-funded (Wisconsin self-directed program). Travel expenses paid. No agencies
