SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This work is preparing and issuing food at the food services department. This requires requesting and checking quality of products needed to produce meals prior to mealtimes and following provided recipes to produce meals for the residents. This is to include but is not limited to the following: Cook, measure and prepare a variety of food following standard recipes to proper temperature. Checks temperatures and record on log. Check and approve quality of product before cooking or prepping. Ensures all food is appealing and appetizing. Ensure minimal loss of temperature and quality. Ensure food is prepped and leftovers are stored properly and in accordance with departmental guidelines. Determines proper quantities of textures in accordance with production book. Maintain high level of sanitation in work and storage areas. Hair nets and gloves are worn at all times. Ensure cleanliness while handling food and equipment. Clean equipment and utensils. Works dish room and pot room as assigned. Make daily inventory checks to ensure you have what you need for the menus for the following day according to production sheets. Work on tray line, employee cafeteria and assist with deliveries as assigned.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs without accommodations. Must be able to lift, carry, bend, crouch, reach overhead, stand, and walk on a consistent basis. Must be able to do manual dexterity (i.e. use of fingers, hands, and arms). This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency perAPD OP 2-0035.
This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
