Summary:

The food expeditor plays a key role in the communication with the waitstaff and the chefs. The are in charge of calling out orders to the chefs and preparing dishes for delivery. Inspect the quality of the dishes served before they go out. Ascertain that each staff member receives the proper orders. Success in this role will be demonstrated by positive feedback from diners through timely and accurate order delivery.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned Good verbal communication with chefs and waitstaff Good listening and comprehension skills Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence Ability to remain alert and focused in an environment that is noisy and fast-paced Ability to work effectively with other kitchen staff and assist where needed Detail-oriented and thorough Monitor the quality of dishes Make final preparations on dishes Address complaints of diners

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience as food expeditor or working in a high-level fine dining kitchen Can work on weekends and holidays, and handle shifting work schedules Birchwood Farms Golf & Country Club is a private member owned association with approximately 800 members.
