Food Preparation Worker/Manager

Duties Lead and coordinate food preparation activities, ensuring all meals meet quality and safety standards Plan menus in collaboration with dietary staff, considering nutritional guidelines and customer preferences Supervise kitchen staff and dietary aides, providing training on food handling, safety protocols, and cooking techniques Prepare a variety of meals using proper knife skills, cooking methods, and food industry best practices Oversee food service operations, ensuring timely delivery of meals to residents or customers Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas in compliance with health regulations Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and monitor food storage to prevent waste or spoilage Ensure adherence to all food safety standards, including proper food handling and hygiene procedures Skills Extensive dietary department experience with knowledge of nutritional requirements and meal planning Proven dietary aide experience with strong understanding of food preparation and serving techniques Expertise in menu planning that balances nutrition, variety, and customer preferences Skilled in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly using industry-standard equipment Strong food handling skills with a focus on safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices Restaurant or kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in culinary techniques and kitchen management Excellent knife skills for efficient prep work and precise ingredient handling Knowledge of catering services and large-scale food service operations Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Join us to make a meaningful impact through nourishing meals!
