Food Runner

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team at Fraser Valley Distilling on Wednesday/Thursday. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service, while keeping the kitchen team in good spirits, putting out good quality dishes and consistency. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and leadership in the kitchen. Duties Deliver food from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy and presentation. Prepare final execution of dishes from the Expo side. Expo the line, leading the kitchen team in execution. Assist servers by communicating special requests or dietary restrictions from guests to the kitchen staff. Preparing dishes on expo side (ex: meat/cheese boards, soups, some sandwhiches) Pre-bussing tables Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, expo side Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food handling and adherence to food safety standards. Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. End of night cleaning of kitchen with the kitchen team Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and service staff, including a positive attitude.
