Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Food Service Lead to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this role, you will be the driving force behind delivering exceptional food service experiences, ensuring smooth daily operations, and leading a dedicated team of food service professionals. Your passion for culinary excellence, customer satisfaction, and team development will help create a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and cared for. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your management skills in a fast-paced, lively setting that celebrates the art of food and hospitality. Responsibilities Oversee daily food service operations across casual dining, quick service, or fine dining environments to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency. Lead, motivate, and train staff members in food preparation, customer service, POS system usage (including Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols. Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed. Supervise kitchen activities including food production, cooking, and presentation to uphold consistency and excellence in every dish served. Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports. Coordinate shift management by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth transitions between team members. Support hiring efforts by interviewing candidates and participating in staff training & development initiatives to foster a skilled and motivated team. Skills Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within casual dining or fine dining settings. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing and sales tracking. Strong knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety standards, and proper food handling procedures. Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in restaurant or hospitality management roles. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly while maintaining a positive guest experience. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including shift management, budgeting, and staff training & development. Familiarity with catering, banquet operations, bar service, or hotel food service is a plus; culinary or hospitality management background highly preferred.
