This position supports large-quantity food production for schools serving 150 or more students daily and may serve as cook-in-charge at sites serving fewer than 150 students. The Food Specialist II assists with supervising food service staff, maintaining accurate records, managing inventory, and ensuring that food service facilities and equipment are kept in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. The role requires collaboration with school staff and adherence to nutrition standards, safety regulations, and district procedures to support student health and well-being.
