JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:

Forklift Driver SHIFT 7:00am to 4:30pm M-F;

OVERTIME AS NEEDED

Reports to:

Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager Purpose:

Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them safely to and from warehouse, production areas and loading docks.

Educational Requirements:

High School degree /GED equivalent. Read and write English.

Job Responsibilities:

• Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports materials or equipment to and from designated areas of the facility.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles, i.e trucks or delivery vans
• Move goods packed on pallets, crates or supersacks
• Stacking good in the correct storage bay, following inventory control instructions
• Check loads are secure
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performs daily safety equipment checks such as seatbelt, mirrors, battery and brakes
• Examining product to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Accurately Date stamp/lot code materials as directed
• Wear vest each and every day indicating FL Certification - FL Driver not wearing a vest will not be allowed to drive/handle machinery
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Good math, language and reading skills, basic computer skills may be required
• Attention to detail is required
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment
• Will be required to use an RF scanner
• Forklift Certification Required Physical demands and abilities:
• Possess good eye -hand coordination
• Sitting a powered industrial truck
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances/heights
• Warehouse environment with varying temperatures
