Job Title:

Forklift Operator Job Description Join our team as a Forklift Operator on the 2nd shift, focusing on Receiving and Distribution. You will be operating various types of forklifts, including standup, sit-down, and turret trucks. Your role may involve performing the same tasks daily or rotating as business needs require. Responsibilities Operate material handling equipment, primarily standup/man-up forklifts. Label and ensure proper tags and labels are on correct inventory. Count inventory manually on the warehouse floor. Verify quantities and labels on physical inventory. Use a computer for basic and general data entry. Work with printed pick lists for parts verification. Participate in inventory control, kitting, packing, shipping, and receiving tasks. Essential Skills At least 2 years of previous forklift experience, with operation within the last 5 years. Ability to perform basic computer navigation and data entry. Comfortable operating forklifts and electric carts in a warehouse setting, including working at heights. Ability to bend, twist, and lift to count and locate products. Open to working required overtime. Strong team cooperation and attendance record. Commitment to safety in forklift operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with standup/man-up forklifts in the last 5 years is preferred. Why Work Here? Training is provided on day shifts for up to 1-3 weeks. Expect a 50+ hour work week with mandatory overtime, including up to two consecutive Saturdays per month, while Sundays remain voluntary. Breaks include a 10-minute break every 2 hours and a 20-minute paid lunch. Be prepared for a physically demanding environment, requiring harness use and working near ceilings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.65/hr.
