- Full-time Frankie's Friends Humane is seeking an Assistant Operations Coordinator to help support the daily operations of our clinic and CARE center.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable helping manage the day-to-day flow of a fast-paced nonprofit animal welfare organization. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational and people skills , with preference given to someone who has experience in animal care, sheltering, veterinary assisting, or veterinary support work . This is a hands-on role that helps fill operational gaps, keep things running smoothly, and support both team members and animals. Frankie's Friends Humane is a nonprofit organization dedicated to accessible veterinary care, high-quality high-volume spay/neuter, community cat services, rescue, and lifesaving animal welfare work. We need someone who believes in that mission and can help translate it into efficient daily operations. Position Summary The Assistant Operations Coordinator helps support workflow across the clinic and CARE center, assists with staff coordination, helps maintain organization and accountability, and serves as a reliable problem-solver for day-to-day operations. This role works closely with leadership and staff to improve communication, efficiency, and consistency. This is not a high-level manager role, but it does require maturity, initiative, and the ability to help keep multiple moving parts on track. Responsibilities Help coordinate daily clinic and CARE center operations Assist with staff scheduling, task delegation, and workflow support Help identify and address operational gaps or bottlenecks Support communication between departments and team members Help maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety Support inventory tracking, stocking, and supply organization Reinforce standard operating procedures and daily expectations Assist with onboarding and training support for new staff Step in where needed to support animal care, clinic flow, and general operations Help leadership maintain an efficient, positive, and mission-focused work environment Qualifications Prior experience in an operations support, team lead, coordinator, or supervisory support role preferred Experience in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, rescue, or animal care setting strongly preferred Veterinary assistant or animal care experience is a plus Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to communicate clearly and professionally Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment Dependable, solution-oriented, and able to work independently Commitment to humane animal care and the mission of Frankie's Friends Humane Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who: is organized and calm under pressure can help create structure and follow-through is comfortable working with both people and animals notices problems and works to solve them is flexible and willing to jump in where needed believes in compassionate, efficient, high-quality animal care
