Job Description
JOB DUTIES
Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Recruiting, training, supervising the FoH staff Maintaining statistical and financial records Dealing with customer queries and complaints Maximizing profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so Ensuring compliance with health and safety codes Knowledgeable and able to comply with applicable labor laws Preparing promotional materials and displays when needed Creating schedule for FoH Staff Able to multitask during busy hours Assist FoH staff on the floor during busy periods and when needed Strong guest relations skills Strong critical and strategic thinking, analytical and planning skills. Organization/time management skills Demonstrates integrity; is ethical in conduct and decision making Proficiency in computer programs such as Office/Excel Qualifications Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments Strong knowledge of POS systems including Clover POS; experience with cash handling and inventory control is essential Demonstrated leadership skills with a background in staff training, development, and team management Familiarity with food preparation, food safety standards, and culinary processes; experience in fine dining or hotel environments is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally Prior experience supervising shifts in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Education Bachelors degree in management or hospitality or related fields (Preferred) Experience Restaurant industry: Minimum 1-3 years (Preferred) Experience in Sushi restaurant (Highly preferred) Certification California Food Manager Certification (Will be required after training period) Languages English proficiency required, other languages is a plus Join us as a Front of House Manager if you thrive in lively settings where your leadership can shine!
