Fulfillment Associate (shipping & receiving)

Dale's Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, NC is looking for a dynamic individual to add to our crew. The museum houses over 400 rare and vintage American-made motorcycles and focuses on history and preservation. This position is responsible for preparing and processing all packages for shipping for online and in-store merchandise orders.

Qualifications for this position include:

customer service oriented, energetic, hardworking, outgoing, self-motivated, reliable and flexible. Point of sale and sales experience is a plus. This position is full-time with competitive pay ($18-$23 an hour with room for growth), bonuses, benefits and the potential for commission. Must be available Thursday through Monday from 9 am - 5 pm during the season which is April through November. There are overtime opportunities during peak periods. Winter hours are Monday through Friday with flexibility. Responsibilities Prepare packages for shipping Utilizing a mail merge; print and fold online raffle tickets / envelopes (the museum holds an annual raffle as a fundraiser) Process and handle returns Order and maintain stock of shipping supplies Update Website with inventory levels and new items Keep area stocked, organized, clean and safe Communicate with the merchandising manager on inventory levels Answer the phones Backup gift shop associate as needed Requirements Prior experience a plus but not required Must have excellent computer skills; experience with shipping software, backend ordering systems and Excel are required Willingness to take on/learn other tasks during slow periods Works well with others in a team oriented environment Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods Frequently walk, bend, reach above shoulder height, kneel Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. Not overly sensitive to smells as the museum does smell like a garage and motorcycles are started and run daily inside the building
