Job Description

Job Overview Seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper with 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience to support our growing client base. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can manage the full accounting cycle independently while maintaining accuracy, organization, and strong client service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced public accounting environment and enjoys owning the bookkeeping process from start to finish. Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile the general ledger , ensuring all transactions are properly recorded, supported, and in compliance with GAAP . Perform month-end and year-end close processes , including journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries. Prepare and review detailed account reconciliations , including bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles , including invoice processing, payment application, collections support, and aging review. Utilize accounting software such as Accounting CS, QuickBooks, or similar systems to process and maintain financial data. Process client payroll as needed, including reviewing payroll reports and ensuring proper tax treatment and reconciliations. Conduct ongoing analysis of financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper classification of transactions. Assist with preparation of financial statements, budgets, and internal reports to support client decision-making. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements , including industry-specific considerations (corporate or nonprofit). Maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready documentation , supporting both internal reviews and external audit requests. Collaborate with external auditors by providing supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation as needed. Perform high-volume data entry with a strong focus on accuracy, utilizing 10-key proficiency and double-entry accounting principles. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies across client engagements. Experience Minimum 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (required) Experience handling full charge bookkeeping responsibilities Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) Strong understanding of GAAP principles Proficiency in accounting software Experience with multi-client or public accounting environments preferred Knowledge of payroll processing and reconciliations a plus Advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, reconciliations, reporting)
Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
