Job Description

The Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for handling aspects of the company's financial recordkeeping and reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll processing, Payroll Taxes, and financial reporting. Experience with year-end procedures—including preparing and distributing and reporting W2s, 1099s, and other tax forms—is essential. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will collaborate with the owners and accounting department to help ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions. Key Responsibilities Understand the entire accounting cycle, including posting, verifying, and reconciling financial data. Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions; maintain vendor and customer records. Handle Payroll processing for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Calculate, file, and remit Payroll Taxes in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Prepare, distribute and report annual W2s, 1099s, and any other required tax documents. Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records. Monitor and forecast cash flow trends. Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions, supporting documents, and audit trails. Assist with year-end closing procedures and coordinate with external CPA as needed. Stay current with changes in accounting standards, payroll regulations, and tax laws. Respond to inquiries from Owners, management, vendors, and employees regarding financial matters. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance. Qualifications Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar accounting role. Strong knowledge of AP, AR, In House Payroll, Payroll Taxes, and financial reporting. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, & Microsoft, Toast and Lightspeed) Solid understanding of federal and state payroll regulations, tax forms, and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Additional Information The Full Charge Bookkeeper reports directly to the Owners and CPA and is expected to maintain the highest level of accuracy and ethical standards in all financial matters.
