Healthcare / Senior Living / Rehabilitation Services A respected therapy provider is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at a premier senior living community in the South Bay region of California. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on helping older adults maximize independence, safety, and quality of life.
Position Overview:
Under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist and in accordance with physician orders, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will implement individualized treatment plans in a professional and competent manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as established by the supervising Occupational Therapist and physician Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve performance, mobility, safety, and independence with daily activities Monitor resident progress and communicate observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal resident outcomes Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to a positive rehab environment Deliver compassionate, high-quality care while promoting dignity and independence
Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program required Current and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of California required Must meet all certification and licensure requirements established by state and national governing boards Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Experience in senior living, skilled nursing, or geriatric settings preferred but not required Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and clinical excellence
