Healthcare / Senior Living / Rehabilitation Services A respected therapy provider is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at a premier senior living community in the South Bay region of California. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on helping older adults improve communication, cognition, swallowing function, and overall quality of life.
Position Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathologist will evaluate, treat, re-evaluate, and develop individualized plans of care under physician direction and in accordance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is dedicated to clinical excellence, resident-centered care, and delivering high-quality therapy services that promote safety and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform speech-language, cognitive, and swallowing screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations as appropriate Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and physician direction Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication, cognition, voice, and swallowing function Complete discharge planning and provide recommendations for continued care as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal resident outcomes Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to a positive rehab environment Deliver compassionate, high-quality care while promoting dignity and independence
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required Current and active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of California required Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Experience in senior living, skilled nursing, outpatient, or geriatric settings preferred but not required Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and clinical excellence
