We are a fast paced, four doctor practice looking to add a passionate and dedicated Full Time Certified Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. Our team is made up of fun, positive and knowledgeable staff. We pride ourselves on exceptional patient care and excellent customer service. As a Certified Veterinary Technician, you will play a key part in providing exceptional patient care along while educating our clients on what is best for their pets. Duties Assist veterinarians in routine examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures. Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures using Zoetis diagnostic equipment. Maintain detailed medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and laboratory results within our cloud based practice management software. Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and stability Educate pet owners on vaccine recommendation, flea/tick and heartworm preventions, post-operative care, and other general pet health maintenance Qualifications Valid certification as a Veterinary Technician with current licensure or registration where applicable Proficient in basic veterinary terminology, anatomy and animal physiology Experience working with various animals including dogs, cats, horses (equine experience preferred), and other small animals Animal behavior knowledge along with handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely and compassionately Familiarity with laboratory procedures, sample collection, and analysis. Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices to assist in emergency situations Excellent communication skills for client education on pet care and treatment plans If you are passionate about animal care, process strong technical skills, and enjoy working in a dynamic veterinary environment, we encourage you to apply to this rewarding position.
