Full Time Kennel and Doggy Daycare Attendant

Performance K9 Training, Inc. is a leading dog training and boarding boutique facility in San Diego North County. It was founded by award-winning dog trainer, David Greene, who represented the USA on four world teams, placed third in the World Championships and third in the World Cup with his dogs. Performance K9 Training Is Looking For A Full Time Lead Kennel Attendant! This is a hands-on role for someone who is dependable, experienced, and thrives in a fast-paced kennel environment. We are specifically looking for candidates with actual professional kennel, boarding, veterinary knowledge, daycare, or animal care facility experience . Personal pet ownership alone does not qualify as kennel experience for this position. Schedule Expectations This is a full-time position with opening or closing shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Typical schedules may include:

Thursday through Monday Friday through Tuesday Shift examples:

Opening Shift:

6:00 AM - 2:00

PM Closing Shift:

10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Flexibility and reliability are essential. Starting Pay & Benefits Starting at $19/hour DOE Health benefits available after 30 days for eligible full-time employees 401(k) and life insurance available after 6 months

Qualified Candidates Must Have:

Previous professional kennel, boarding, veterinary, daycare, or animal handling experience The ability to safely handle dogs with a variety of temperaments and behaviors A strong understanding of canine body language and kennel safety The ability to multitask and work independently as well as with a team A strong work ethic and dependable attendance The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The ability to stand, bend, move, and work actively for most of the shift Availability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules

Responsibilities Include:

Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all dogs Feeding, watering, scooping, sanitizing, exercising, bathing, and safely securing dogs Monitoring dog behavior and reporting concerns appropriately Assisting with guest arrivals and departures Administering medications and supplements when needed Supporting daily kennel operations and team communication A full job description can be provided upon request.
