00 Stipend Length of Work Year 10 Months Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary Under the immediate supervision of a school psychologist, the school psychologist intern will perform the following: attend Student Study Team (SST) meetings, attend IEP meetings, conduct and write psycho-educational evaluations, conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), develop appropriate Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), present reports at IEP meetings, make recommendations for and attend 504 meetings, perform individual and group counseling, conduct crisis intervention and consultation/outreach, and consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, IEP team members, and staff regarding academic, social/emotional, and/or behavior interventions and/or accommodations for students. DEFINITION
The School Psychologist Intern works with a supervision psychologist and is responsible for the identification, placement and follow-up of students referred for special education assessment at a specific school site. The school psychologist intern will also provide consultation to teachers an counseling of special education students under the supervision of supervising psychologist.
EDUCATION
Enrolled in a graduate level school psychologist program Hold a valid California Internship credential with school psychologist authorization or a letter from you College or University indicating eligibility in lieu of credential.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the immediate supervision of the school psychologist, the psychologist intern will work on skills to: Conduct psycho-educational evaluation for special education, including writing reports with specific recommendations and attending IEP meetings Provide academic, personal, and social counseling to students individually and within groups Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and school community Consult with parents and teachers in the SST process about procedures designed to prevent and/or remediate social, emotional and learning concerns Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and design behavior support plans with teachers Maintain confidentiality
LICENSES / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Enrolled in a graduate level school psychologist program
  • Hold a valid California Internship Credential with school psychologist authorization or letter from College or University indicating eligibility in lieu of a credential Strong interpersonal and communication skills Requirements / Qualifications Please ensure the following items are uploaded and attached to your application before submitting:
