Job Description
Monday - Friday | Meade Rural Health Clinic Artesian Valley Health System is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Receptionist / Patient Financial Services Representative at the Meade Rural Health Clinic. This position plays an important role in providing excellent customer service to our patients while assisting with front office and patient financial service duties. Position Summary This position is responsible for scheduling patients, greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, processing payments, verifying insurance eligibility, and assisting with patient financial service functions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required 1-2 years of clinic or medical office experience preferred, but willing to train the right applicant Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service and organizational skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Mathematical ability necessary to complete job duties Ability to analyze billing issues and make appropriate corrections Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and 10-key Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments Greet and check in patients upon arrival Answer phones, relay messages, and return calls as needed Record patient charts and process patient payments Verify insurance eligibility and proof of coverage Ensure patients complete all necessary forms and documentation Maintain patient and system confidentiality Work closely with billing and coding staff regarding patient account concerns Assist with insurance and patient billing-related issues Maintain accurate records and daily deposits Treat patients, visitors, and co-workers with respect and professionalism Attend required meetings, trainings, and mandatory education Follow all facility policies, procedures, attendance, and dress code requirements Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor Why Join AVHS?
