PAY:

$19.00•$21.00 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

SUMMARY:

The Furnace Operator is directly responsible for operating equipment necessary to perform furnace operations and support daily production requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up and prepare machines according to daily production schedules Prepare equipment and ensure furnace settings are accurate Monitor machinery during shift operations, adjusting settings as necessary Load and unload setups, breakdowns, and operating equipment Follow router directions and initial/date all pertinent information as required Maintain accurate logs and monitor equipment to ensure proper output Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean workplace Use personal protective equipment as required, including but not limited to safety vests, gloves, and eye protection Perform duties safely, responsibly, and proficiently while observing and complying with all safety and health regulations, including OSHA, MTI, and SDS standards Report all accidents and safety concerns to supervisor immediately Coordinate with outside machine shops regarding necessary fixtures and special machining Collaborate with manufacturers, internal departments, and support staff to accomplish team and company goals Perform similar or related duties as required, directed, or as situations dictate

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED/PREFERRED SKILLS

High school diploma or GED equivalent required Minimum of one year of experience in furnace or heat-treating operations preferred Working knowledge of methods, practices, and procedures involved in furnace maintenance and repair activities Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with team members, vendors, contractors, and the public Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information appropriately Masis Staffing is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
