Overview Join our vibrant team as a Convenience Store Team Member, where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming shopping experience. You'll be the friendly face that greets customers, assists with their needs, and helps maintain an organized and well-stocked store. What you'll do Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and resolving issues promptly. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) and Lottery systems efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and basic math calculations. Assist in stocking shelves, merchandising products effectively to maximize visibility and sales potential. Assist in stocking ang organizing the walk-in cooler and beer cave, lifting and carrying cases of beverages repeatedly while working in refrigerated conditions. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store to create an inviting atmosphere for shoppers. Assist with general store maintenance, including cleaning restrooms, floors, and outdoor areas as needed. Prepare hot foods (Krispy Chicken, Hunt Brother's Pizza, Fry Food), Coffee, and other quick-serve items in compliance with health and safety standards. Monitor food quality and freshness throughout your shift. Work with team members during shifts, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative environment. Utilize effective phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns over the phone. Stay informed about promotions and sales to effectively communicate with customers and drive retail sales. Qualifications Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and team members. Must be able to work flexible part-time hours between 3:00 AM and 10:00 PM, with availability on weekends and holidays (we're open 7 days a week!). Experience in cashiering or retail sales, demonstrating proficiency in cash handling and retail math. Experience in convenience store operations, including stocking and merchandising techniques. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs, and work in a team-oriented environment. Must be able to obtain 4 certifications within 2 weeks of hire date. We will provide guidance to obtain your TABC, Food Handler's, Texas UST Class C, and Tobacco Seller certifications.
