Job Summary:

The Gasket Room Supervisor is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of a diverse range of equipment. This role requires advanced mechanical skills, a thorough understanding of diagnostic tools, and the ability to work independently. The Gasket Room Supervisor also provides guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform advanced diagnostics on equipment to identify issues. Ensure all repairs are performed to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrications, and adjustments. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot equipment problems. Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and repair techniques. Provide technical support and guidance Gasket Room Technicians I and II. Complete detailed service reports and work orders for each job. Communicate effectively with the Service Manager regarding job progress and any issues encountered. Ensure that all documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies. Ensure a clean and safe work environment. Participate in safety training and drills as required. Assist in training and mentoring less experienced technicians. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to improve overall shop performance. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification or degree in mechanical, automotive, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a service technician, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
• Manual dexterity and ability to handle tools and machinery controls.
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping may be required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions typical of a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

• Primarily indoor shop environment with occasional outdoor work.
• Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and machinery.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

Work Status:

Full Time - Work hours are Monday through Friday with flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
