This vital role ensures smooth and secure entry and exit for all personnel, vendors, and carriers, while supporting efficient warehouse operations. As a Gate Clerk, you'll play a key part in maintaining safety, security, and operational flow within a fast-paced logistics environment. Your proactive approach will help facilitate seamless shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes, contributing to the overall success of our warehouse distribution network. Duties Verify and authorize access for employees, visitors, contractors, and carriers using identification checks and access control systems Manage inbound and outbound shipments by coordinating with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure accurate loading and unloading Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements, order picking, packing, and stock updates Assist with shipping & receiving tasks including packaging, order fulfillment, and ensuring proper documentation through AS400 or similar systems Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts (certification preferred) to load/unload trucks safely and efficiently Support warehouse distribution activities by stocking shelves, picking & packing orders for e-commerce or retail clients Maintain security protocols at the gate by conducting visual inspections, fence checks, and recording all access logs accurately Qualifications Prior warehouse experience with familiarity in order picking, packing, shipping & receiving processes Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or equivalent enterprise resource planning (ERP) software Ability to operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks, reach trucks (certification preferred), and forklifts (certification preferred) Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills for coordinating with drivers and warehouse teams Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as required in a busy distribution environment Join us as a Gate Clerk where your energy fuels our operations!
