General Accounting (GL, AR, AP) and Purchasing Support Shelby Township, Michigan | Contract-to-Hire (This role is fully intended to become a long-term direct hire position after the contract period.) Our client, an established international manufacturing and technology organization, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented professional to support accounting, purchasing, invoicing, and office operations within their Shelby Township location. Compensation & Schedule Approximately $28-$36/hour (depending upon experience) Contract-to-hire with strong intent to transition into a permanent position Standard daytime business hours Small-office environment with strong teamwork and visibility Key Responsibilities Review, reconcile, and process company credit card transactions Process employee expense reports Support general ledger review and accounting adjustments Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments Assist with customer invoicing, payment application, and monitoring overdue balances Coordinate purchasing activities for both intercompany and external products Maintain accurate documentation and support operational workflows Assist with general office administration and customer support Support year-end audit activities including inventory and asset valuation What They're Looking For Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience Minimum 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Comfortable working in a hands-on, team-oriented office environment Experience with AP, AR, invoicing, and purchasing activities is highly valued Background supporting manufacturing, distribution, or supplier-based environments is a plus Why This Opportunity Stands Out Excellent opportunity to grow into a long-term permanent role Smaller office environment with strong visibility and collaboration Broad exposure across accounting, purchasing, operations, and customer interaction Stable international company with an established reputation Competitive health benefits and retirement offerings If you enjoy variety in your day, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want an opportunity where you can truly become part of the team long-term, we would love to speak with you.Similar remote jobs
