Sandwich Maker/Cashier

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our fast-paced food service team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a quick service environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary and food handling skills while providing exceptional service to our customers in a casual café setting. Duties Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company recipes and customer specifications Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and payment handling Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas, including proper food handling and bussing Manage cash handling accurately during transactions, including cashiering and basic math calculations Ensure timely service by managing multiple orders efficiently, demonstrating strong time management skills Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Assist with stocking supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and organizing the kitchen area Follow food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers Experience Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Experience in cashiering, serving, or retail math will be beneficial Background in culinary arts or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle food handling, sanitation, and basic math accurately Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail setting involving food industry standards is desirable This position offers an engaging environment where teamwork, efficiency, and excellent customer interactions are valued.
