General Laborer

General Laborer Job Description Support concrete production in a modern facility by setting up molds, assembling rebar, pouring and finishing concrete, operating basic hand and power tools, and performing general labor tasks to help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while assisting with various projects as needed. Responsibilities Set up molds and forms for concrete pours Assemble rebar cages and reinforcing materials Pour, spread, and finish concrete to quality standards Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely Operate mobile equipment and cranes as directed Work safely around suspended loads and high‑tension materials Perform tasks on scaffolds and elevated platforms when needed Shovel and move concrete and materials Complete general labor tasks, including cleanup and organization Support special projects and follow all safety policies and procedures Essential Skills & Qualifications At least 2 years of general labor or construction experience. Experience working in a construction or production environment. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including shoveling concrete and working on elevated platforms. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely. Basic understanding of concrete work; concrete experience is a plus. Comfort working around suspended loads and high-tension strand. Ability to operate or learn to operate mobile equipment and cranes under supervision. Capability to read or follow measurements using standard measuring devices. Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance on a first shift schedule (Monday-Friday, 4:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.). Commitment to following all safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots. Exposure to roles such as batch plant work, concrete finishing, rigging, carpentry, welding, mechanics, or driving, even though this position focuses on general labor. Willingness to learn new skills within a structured pay-for-skill and career progression program. Ability to work effectively as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.19 - $25.05/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
