Job Description
Organization Summary The Healing Grounds Center (HGC) is a growing, community-focused health and wellness Center offering full health-related services including acupuncture, full-service salon, massage, nutrition counseling, pilates, yoga, health-focused cafe, physical therapy, and other holistic treatments. Our mission is to create a community healing space that allows hope, confidence, purpose, and authentic connection to develop, grow, and inspire our clients and employees. Position Summary This critical leadership position works in conjunction with the co-owners and requires a strategic while also hands-on people-oriented senior leader who ensures business growth and client satisfaction, ensuring departments are aligned cohesively across HGC. Specifically the position leads operations, both daily operations and operations strategy, leads/develops teams, and helps drive sustainable business growth through operations; leads marketing, including events/merchandising and the marketing team, and leads other critical administrative tasks, including payroll. The person in this position thrives in a small, growing business environment, builds strong teams, is passionate about health and wellness, and values purpose-driven work. Essential Responsibilities Lead HGC Operations (70%)
Daily Operations:
Lead day-to-day operations to ensure a smooth, high-quality client experience Communicate flow(s) between overall HGC and operations for optimal cross-functional alignment Post daily information to all operations employees regarding stock/inventory, promotional specials, events, appointment openings, new arrivals, etc. Maintain a welcoming, clean, and professional space, ensuring aesthetics and branding throughout HGC. Oversee and support including booking experiences, systems, workflow, and client flow ensuring content input, information flow, and communication in/of supporting systems (Wellness Living, Toast, Jane, GoogleDrive, P&P, Slack, and Sling across HGC Analyze sales across operations for trends/business changes and recommend solutions to increase sales and reduce cost/operations obstacles Research, analyze, and recommend new sources for packaging, products, etc. to reduce costs/improve offerings Serve as technology lead with outside technology vendors to trouble-shoot technology issues, including software systems as well as other miscellaneous HGC technologies/systems, including website, WIFI, phone, printer, etc.Operations Team Leadership:
Hire, train, and develop employees Create positive and accountable team culture with communication, goal-setting, and performance management Lead team communications to review/align team on events, goals, and business challenges assisting in staff changes to ensure optimal client services Oversee and manage schedules, assisting in staff changes to ensure optimal client services Develop and implement training programs for new employees and other training to address employee development needs Lead HGC Marketing, including Events and Merchandising/Design (20%) Lead marketing strategies and actions to grow HGC awareness and client engagement Oversee digital content across social media, email, and other channels, ensuring all content/messages align with HGC values and mission Lead and manage marketing team, including hiring, training and developing the team Lead and coordinate HGC events , including development, logistics, and internal/external communication; this includes pricing, scheduling, materials, tear down, and resulting charity donations Oversee HGC merchandising/design to ensure alignment with mission and values, while ensuring a peaceful and healing community space Source furniture, supplies, art, textiles and set-up Update/refresh spaces, including apothecary Create and set up holidays decor throughout HGC Design, order, and manage apparel and apparel orders Manage Payroll and other critical financial administrative tasks (10%) Process bi-weekly payroll including entering/correcting, reviewing time ins/outs, investigating/correcting discrepancies, printing reports and sending to co-owner for approval/submission to accountant Deliver weekly bank deposits Reimburse cafe staff as necessary for items approved to be personally purchased forHGC Pay:
