We are currently seeking a talented and motivated General Manager to lead our team in Shiloh, Illinois. Our operations are fast-paced, quality-driven, and customer service focused. Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all areas of hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and financial success. This role provides strong leadership and supervision to hotel staff while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, service, and efficiency throughout the property. The ideal candidate will have a strong hospitality background along with the business acumen necessary to manage the administrative, operational, and financial aspects of the hotel. Responsibilities Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and quality standards are consistently met Lead, mentor, and develop staff, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management Manage HR and payroll functions while addressing employee relations, discipline, and termination matters when necessary Ensure ongoing employee training and professional development Maintain inventory and manage supplies to ensure organized and efficient work areas Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations Prepare and submit timely and accurate operational and financial reports Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally Monitor hotel performance and ensure operational and financial goals are achieved Demonstrate ownership and initiative by identifying opportunities to improve operations and grow the business Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of three years of progressive hospitality management experience Proven experience supervising and managing staff Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet-based systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and scheduling Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L accountability Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills What We Offer Competitive salary Performance-based bonus opportunities Professional growth and advancement opportunities Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunity to lead a respected hospitality brand Apply Today If you are a passionate hospitality leader who takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences and building high-performing teams, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Holiday Inn Express team in Shiloh, IL.
