General Manager - Restaurant

Responsibilities Lead and manage daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and kitchen activities, to ensure smooth service delivery. Supervise staff training and development, fostering a motivated team committed to excellence in food service and customer satisfaction. Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling procedures to meet quality standards and safety regulations. Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Implement staff scheduling, shift management, and performance evaluations to maintain optimal staffing levels. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to uphold the restaurant's reputation for outstanding service. Assist with budgeting, cost control measures, and financial reporting to support business growth. Coordinate catering events or banquet services when applicable to expand revenue streams. Requirements Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments with supervising responsibilities. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management; culinary experience is highly valued. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling procedures. Demonstrated ability in inventory control, food safety practices, and food industry standards. Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training & development, team management, interviewing, and performance management. Knowledge of hospitality management principles including customer service excellence and food service management. Experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning within the restaurant or hotel industry preferred. Exceptional communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for shift management duties.
