German Automotive Technician - Audi/VW Experience Highly Preferred

Job Description We are looking for one remarkable person to join us as a tech at Strom German Auto. If you are a hard working and intelligent individual who shows up to work (on time) to work with intention and excellence, then we want to talk to you. We are a growing company that has shops for both German Auto Service and Motorsports Engineering. Your role will be on the service side as a technician to diagnose and repair German vehicles at our Costa Mesa shop. We have 5 stars on Yelp and intend to keep it that way! Daily work flow will be similar to a dealership service environment but without all the bureaucratic hassle. You will help forge the culture and be part of a team that performs excellent work for happy customers. Job Responsibilities Diagnose and repair Audi/VW, Porsche and BMW vehicles. Perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting and testing to determine required or recommended repairs Perform standard service and repairs.

Tasks include:

Fluid changes, brakes, wheel bearings, bushings/ spherical bearings, motor mounts, gaskets, cylinder head R&R, Transmission R&R. Test drive before and QC vehicles after service Complete factory-recommended maintenance according to manufacturer schedules Understand and be able to use ODIS Service Software, ErWIN Portal, VCDS, Autologic and Autel diagnostic tools Maintain clear and precise documentation about work performed on each vehicle Attend pertinent training at company request Other Responsibilities Work with our Service Writer to manage shop workflow and to optimize quality of service from beginning to end for customers and employees.

not pulling a car off a rack and putting it back on later when the work could get done in one go. Be mindful and help us constantly improve our processes for more efficient work flow. In particular this means optimizing your work or your interactions with the service writer or parts so you are working effectively and not pointless paper work. Ensure that the shop area is clean, organized and safe. Assist in making sure we have the right tools to perform new services as new model years come into the shop. Qualifications and Skills Significant Audi/VW experience preferred Porsche experience a plus Attention to detail, deadline oriented Knowledge of all tools and equipment required to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and service vehicles Critical thinking ability
