Golf Car Mechanic

Carew Golf Cars is looking for an experienced, self-driven Golf Car Mechanic to take a leading role in our service shop. This position is a great fit for someone with solid mechanical experience who can work independently, diagnose issues efficiently, and take pride in doing the job right. You'll help keep customer golf cars, our rental fleet, and shop operations running smoothly. This is not an entry-level position . We're looking for someone who already has a strong mechanical foundation and is comfortable taking ownership of repairs, troubleshooting, and day-to-day service work. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair gas and electric golf cars with minimal supervision Troubleshoot electrical systems, batteries, chargers, wiring, and related components Perform tune-ups, brake service, engine work, preventative maintenance, and general repairs Help maintain our rental fleet so units are clean, safe, reliable, and ready to roll Complete inspections and quick turnarounds for rentals and customer units Identify needed parts and assist with parts ordering and inventory needs Install accessories, perform upgrades, and assist with custom work when needed Follow safety and quality standards on every job Help keep the shop organized, clean, and moving efficiently Support general shop and rental operations as needed Qualifications 3+ years of mechanical experience, such as small engines, automotive, powersports, or similar hands-on repair work Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Basic understanding of electrical systems Ability to work independently and stay on task Reliable, accountable, and willing to jump in where needed Valid driver's license required Ability to lift, move, bend, stand, and handle equipment as needed Preferred Experience Golf car experience is a plus, but not required. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in: Gas and electric golf cars Battery systems and lithium upgrades Chargers, wiring, controllers, and electrical troubleshooting Lift kits, accessories, lights, mirrors, windshields, enclosures, or custom modifications Rental fleet maintenance or quick-turnaround service work Training On-the-job training will be provided for golf car-specific systems and procedures. We understand not every strong mechanic has worked on golf cars before. What matters most is having a solid mechanical background, a good work ethic, and the ability to learn quickly and apply that knowledge on the job. Work Environment This is a hands-on, shop-based position with some outdoor work. The role is physically active and includes lifting, bending, standing, moving equipment, and working in a fast-paced service environment. Pay:
