Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Mechanic, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing the equipment that keeps our golf course running smoothly and efficiently. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your mechanical expertise will directly contribute to providing an exceptional experience for our golfers while supporting the overall operations of the course. Duties Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on golf course equipment including mowers, utility carts, and irrigation systems Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify root causes quickly and accurately Repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and heavy machinery with precision and attention to detail Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other repair tools to complete maintenance tasks efficiently Conduct preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and minimize downtime Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service history for all equipment Assist with heavy lifting and equipment moving as needed to ensure safety and operational efficiency Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with dealership or service technician background preferred Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, equipment repair, generator repair, and diesel engine repair Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, welding, soldering, and heavy lifting techniques Experience working with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and course staff Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools safely and proficiently Prior experience in vehicle maintenance or automotive repair is a plus Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals This role offers an exciting opportunity for skilled mechanics passionate about maintaining high-quality golf course equipment.
