Job Description

Job Overview Swifthaven has several positions open in the facility kitchen/dining room.
We are seeking the following:
A Full time staff member to assist with our kitchen needs. Shifts vary 630-1p/ 8a-1p & 3p-6p. Basic kitchen skills required. A part time staff member to assist our kitchen and residents with preparing for meal service. Serving meals, cleaning up dining room/dishes after the meal. Wiping down and resetting tables, sweeping floor (when needed), taking out garbage from dining room, occassionaly doing meal dishes. Duties Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to menus and light dietary restrictions Serve meals to residents Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including cleaning, bussing, and sanitizing utensils and surfaces Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations Assist with food storage Ensure timely delivery of meals during scheduled service times Adhere to all safety protocols related to food production, sanitation, and workplace safety Skills Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital environments preferred Background in food production, culinary arts, or the food industry is beneficial Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices Strong time management skills to handle meal prep within scheduled times Ability to perform food handling, cooking, serving, and meal preparation tasks efficiently Excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents and staff Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietetics principles is a plus Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Ability to work independently when needed
