Kindergarten
  • 576 Eastern Avenue Lower School (Grades 1-8)
  • 770 Salem Street High School (Grades 9-12)
  • 238 and 306 Highland Avenue MVRCS welcomes students from the surrounding communities of Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Stoneham, and Wakefield.
Through an extended school day and extended academic year, students receive significantly more instructional time than in traditional public schools. Classes run from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM over a 200-day school year, allowing the school to deliver a rigorous, content-rich education that prepares students for success in college and beyond. Job Summary Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Grades 1-6 History Teacher to provide engaging, large-group instruction within a structured and academically rigorous environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with grade-level teams to strengthen instructional practices, support student achievement, and uphold the school's high academic and behavioral expectations. Key Responsibilities Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction using engaging and effective teaching practices Develop and administer assessments to monitor student progress and guide instructional decisions Analyze student performance data to differentiate instruction and support student growth Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, planning, and school-wide initiatives Maintain a structured classroom environment with clear expectations, accountability, and recognition for achievement Take ownership of student outcomes and ensure mastery of learning objectives Communicate professionally and effectively with students, families, and colleagues Participate fully in the school's comprehensive three-week summer orientation and training program Qualifications Strong commitment to improving student outcomes both academically and personally Demonstrated record of success and high expectations for student achievement Passion for History and strong content knowledge in the subject area Self-motivated, reflective, and receptive to feedback and coaching Collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute positively to a team-oriented environment
