Job Summary Granby Nature Preschool and Kindergarten is seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our vibrant team! Responsibilities Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate curricula that incorporate nature-based learning, literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of preschool-aged children, including toddlers and early learners. Manage classroom environments effectively to ensure safety, positive behavior, and active participation among students. Support children's emotional well-being through behavior management strategies, early intervention techniques, and child welfare best practices. Collaborate with colleagues to design inclusive activities that accommodate children with special education needs or requiring additional support. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on progress and classroom activities. Maintain accurate records of student development, standardized testing results (if applicable), and lesson plans in accordance with educational standards. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; nature-based, place-based, Reggio-inspired is a plus. Knowledge of early childhood development, classroom management, and, co- and self-regulation. Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching empathy based, and inclusive lessons. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively. Certification in early childhood education ; ongoing professional development encouraged.
