Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grants Officer to lead our organization's efforts in securing and managing funding through grants and contracts. In this vital role, you will oversee the entire grant lifecycle—from researching funding opportunities to preparing compelling proposals, managing contractual obligations, and ensuring compliance. Your strategic approach and excellent writing skills will help advance our mission by securing essential resources that support program development and organizational growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while honing your expertise in fundraising, contract management, and technical writing. Responsibilities Conduct thorough research to identify suitable grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals. Develop, write, and submit comprehensive grant proposals and funding applications that clearly articulate project objectives, budgets, and expected outcomes. Manage all aspects of contract administration, including reviewing terms, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate records within databases such as Raiser's Edge or similar systems. Coordinate with program teams to gather necessary data, draft progress reports, and prepare financial reports that meet funder requirements. Maintain detailed records of grant activities, deadlines, and correspondence to ensure transparency and accountability. Monitor grant budgets, track expenditures, and assist with strategic planning for future funding initiatives. Proofread and edit proposals, reports, and other technical documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and professionalism. Experience Proven experience in grant proposal writing, contract management, or fundraising roles within nonprofit or similar organizations. Strong familiarity with databases used for tracking grants and donor information such as Raiser's Edge or equivalent platforms. Excellent research skills to identify new funding opportunities and analyze funder requirements. Demonstrated ability to write compelling proposals and technical documents with precision and clarity. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Knowledge of budgeting processes related to grants and contracts is highly desirable. Exceptional editing, proofreading, and financial report writing skills to ensure high-quality submissions.
