Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will support the medical billing process by assisting with coding, claims submission, and record management. Your energetic approach will help ensure accurate billing practices, timely reimbursements, and smooth communication between healthcare providers and insurance companies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your expertise in medical coding and billing within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Responsibilities Assist with medical billing procedures, including coding using DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes Support the preparation and submission of insurance claims through EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Review medical records to ensure accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures for proper billing Aid in the collection of outstanding payments by following up on unpaid claims and patient accounts Maintain organized records of medical billing activities, insurance correspondence, and payment histories Collaborate with medical office staff to verify patient information and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards Assist in updating and maintaining accurate coding databases related to ICD coding, DRG classifications, and CPT codes Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare environment is preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical billing processes Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for billing and documentation purposes Understanding of
ICD-9, ICD-10
coding systems as well as CPT coding procedures Experience with medical collections and insurance claim processing is a plus Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in coding and record keeping Ability to communicate clearly with team members, insurance companies, and patients Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering exceptional healthcare support!
