Grocery Buyer/Front End Associate

$16.50 - $17.50 per hour Job description: Buyer / Front End Associate We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member to join our co-op as a Buyer / Front End Associate. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on store work with organization and inventory management. You should be comfortable working with spreadsheets and inventory systems, communicating with vendors, and helping keep the store running smoothly day to day. This is a part-time, in-person position at our small community-focused grocery co-op. Schedule Sunday availability required Opening and closing shift availability required Opportunity for additional hours may be available Responsibilities Order grocery and produce items aligned with the Co-op's mission and customer needs Receive inventory and verify deliveries Enter and maintain accurate product, pricing, and vendor information in inventory systems Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory counts Communicate with vendors and sales reps regarding pricing, specials, and deliveries Operate the register and assist customers as needed Help stock shelves, merchandise products, and maintain store organization Complete opening and closing duties when scheduled Work both independently and as part of a small team Required Qualifications Strong computer proficiency is required Previous data entry experience required Comfortable using spreadsheets and inventory software Knowledge of grocery and produce basics, including organic vs. conventional products and seasonal produce Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Reliable and punctual Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment Interest in food, local farms, co-ops, and grocery retail Must be able to comply with alcohol sales regulations Comfortable checking IDs and following alcohol sale policies Preferred Qualifications Experience working in grocery, natural foods stores, or co-ops Familiarity with cooperative business models and values Physical Requirements Frequently lift and move boxes and containers weighing up to 50 lbs Safely climb and use ladders as needed for stocking and backstock Stand and remain on your feet for extended periods of time Ability to perform these tasks with or without reasonable accommodation About Us We're a small, community-focused grocery co-op offering fresh food, local goods, and a welcoming space for everyone.
