The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets are groomed to the highest standards while maintaining their comfort and safety. Your role will also involve interacting with pet owners to provide excellent customer service and educate them on proper pet care. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and other pets. Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options. Keep detailed records of each pet's grooming history and any special requirements. Assist with animal handling in the facility as needed, including during check-in/check-out processes. Experience Proven experience in pet grooming is preferred; however, candidates with strong backgrounds in animal handling or veterinary assistance will also be considered. Experience in dog training, veterinary technician or assistant roles, equine care, or kennel management is highly desirable. Strong skills in customer service, pet care, and animal restraint are essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple animals.
